Bartra Capital Property Group have taken the decision to seek LEED accreditation for the CoLiving development in Dun Laoghaire. The Dun Laoghaire project will be the first purpose built CoLiving building in Ireland and Bartra is leading the way in delivering this new format of living with our Sustainability Consultants Meehan Green.
First launched in 1998, LEED certification program is the leading international program for sustainable building design and construction, which is being used in over 170 countries. LEED guides projects to save money, conserve energy, reduce water consumption and drive innovation. Through a rigorous, documented process that relies on performance and measurement, LEED rewards and validates best-in-class building strategies and practices. We spend over 90% of our time in buildings, LEED-certified buildings provide high quality indoor environment and low utility costs while helping to preserve the environment for future generations.
Bartra will adopt the LEED approach to all of its CoLiving schemes. There are 2 planning applications for CoLiving currently with An Bord Pleanala, a site for 210 beds at Blanchardstown and another for 102 beds at Rathmines.
