Bartra Renewable Energy Summary

In order to meet its EU climate targets, Ireland needs to continue to decarbonise its electricity, heat and transport sectors. Ireland’s position on the west coast of Europe results in a climate that is ideal for wind powered renewable energy generation and forestry growth. Combining this climactic advantage with stable Government and regulatory energy policies, results in an attractive location for renewable energy (electricity and heat) investment.

Bartra works with project promoters and owners to finance new projects and refinance existing renewable projects (including assisting project promoters to buy out existing shareholders). Bartra is currently interested in projects in the following areas in the Republic of Ireland:

  • Onshore wind
  • Offshore wind
  • Biomass
  • Anaerobic digestion
  • District heating
  • Electric vehicle infrastructure

Bartra combines deep sectoral knowledge with efficient decision making to provide timely, flexible solutions to project promoters. This approach combined with detailed due diligence provides investors with attractive risk adjusted returns.
